Location A majority of my photographs are captured within the Rocky Mountains ... especially the stretch of mountain ranges from Colorado to Montana. It is a diverse and dramatic environment that draws me like no other. Many of my images are captured in remote places deep within rugged wilderness areas. And yet, I also find pleasure in photographing popular destinations and roadside views ... if not even the commonplace that is typically overlooked. I relish photographing favorite places repeatedly over the years — discovering the nuances of nature through the filters of dramatic light, erratic conditions and changing seasons. And for the sake of discovery and adventure, I am always looking for new places and fresh subject matter to photograph. The harsh realities of life in the Rocky Mountains and the expansive nature of the land provide limitless opportunities to explore and photograph my favored environment. |
