Lost Creek Wilderness, 2007

The Lost Creek Wilderness is located less than an hour drive from my house. The proximity factor alone makes it one of my favorite backcountry destinations. But what keeps me coming back has more to do with the spectacular scenery that is unique to this area of Colorado. Instead of soaring peaks and alpine lakes, you'll find granite domes, incredible rock formations and hidden valleys. One such unique feature, Harmonica Arch, was the primary destination for a backpacking trip that some friends and I enjoyed on the first weekend in June. The following shots are some of my favorites from our time around camp and from a hike to the arch (the largest arch in Colorado).
