Colorado Fall Colors, 2007

The following photos were captured over several days of driving and hiking around the Kebler Pass area near Crested Butte, Colorado - one of my favorite fall colors destinations. Focusing my photographic efforts in one area for several days allowed me to slow down and study the area's amazing views in various lighting and weather conditions. And plenty of purposeful wandering and GPS hiking allowed me to discover some backcountry treasures and hidden viewpoints that are likely rarely seen - let alone photographed. The photos to follow are the result of countless hours spent driving, hiking and photographing in the fall colors paradise that is Gunnison National Forest.
