Wind River Range, 2008

In the summer of 2008, I enjoyed two backpacking trips to the Wind River Range of Wyoming - one 4-day trip on July 14th and one 4-day trip on August 3rd. Both treks were based in the Big Sandy area of the southern part of the range. Highlights included visits to Deep Lake and the Temple Lake cirque. The rugged landscape found in these glacially-carved valleys provided limitless opportunities for photography on both a grand and an intimate scale. The following collection of photos are my favorites from my time in the Wind Rivers - a collection that I expect to build upon in coming years.
