These images explore the dynamic and sometimes unusual interaction of land, light and weather that characterizes the rugged Rocky Mountains. Whether dramatic or subtle in form, the photographs are selected for the rare moments they portray - moments that elevate the image beyond a simple portrait of a particular place. They are probably best described as "right place at the right time" encounters, which I am fortunate enough to experience from time to time. The photographs in this series are monochrome images that have been treated with a subtle split toning.
