8: Interlude

A constant, nervous energy…an electric hum, fills the autumn ether … it is Winter, marching ever closer.  Rarely predictable in its timing, winter can rush in and grab the land without notice—oblivious to historical schedules. Sometimes, winter makes a brief appearance and then retreats as quickly as it came. These seasonal interludes give new life to photographic circumstances. Steadfast autumnal colors leap out from under a blanket of pure white. When the winter interlude happens, I will be standing there in the thick of it–enjoying the clash of the seasons.
