Winter winds blow through Colorado's high country with brutal force at times. The frozen surfaces of high altitude lakes are shifted and fractured. Snowdrifts evolve into abstract forms. Finding and studying these abstractions is one of my favorite winter activities. There are worlds to be found on the icy surface of a frozen lake, and sensuous forms in the surrounding, wind-carved landscape.
